The Romanian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology invites you to a satellite event of the Annual International Conference of the RSBMB 2024 dedicated to education in bio-molecular sciences. The hybrid train-the-trainer event aims to improve education in bio-molecular structure by promoting visual literacy.

Expected outcomes: The event aims to help the trainees understand structural data better and integrate structures in their lectures/presentations as either images, animations, or physical models. In the end, the trainees will be able to answer questions such as: From where can I download structures? How is the structural data stored and visualized? How can I interact with a structure during my lecture/lesson? How can I create a figure or an animation? How can I 3D print a structure of a protein/nucleic acid? What resources are available to improve my teaching in bio-molecular structure?

Target audience: Trainers of all levels in bio-molecular using molecular structures of proteins and nucleic acids in their lectures/classes.

Event type: hybrid, but in-person participation is highly recommended, especially for the two hands-on workshops.

Location: Sala de Lectura “Thoma Ionescu”, etajul 1, Facultatea de Medicina, Bd. Eroii Sanitari nr. 8, Bucuresti. Type “Carol Davila” Faculty of Medicine in Google Maps.
